1. Ramanathaswamy Temple
The temple is associated with the period of Ramayana and only shiva temple in the Char Dham. Lord Rama had Brahmahathi Dosha after killed Ravana so he wanted to build the temple by the advice of Maharishi inorder Rama sent Hanuman to get linga from Kailash. Hanuman did not return in a particular time so Sita started to accumulate sand from her hands which formed as linga that has been worshipping by devotees until today it's the presence of Ramanathaswamy temple. The deity of Kasi Viswanathar in the temple was brought by Lord Hanuman from Kailash. Initially, the temple was the small straw roof, later it was developed in the 12th century. The world-famous third corridor constructed in the 18th century by Muthuramalinga Sethupathy. 2. Agni Tirtha
Where the place, devotees can remove their sin in this Tirtha. We can see thousands of devotees merging in daily and lakhs of devotees merging in Aadi Amavasai(No moon day) and Thai Amavasai. Most of the devotees come to Agni Tirtha to give tharpana for their ancestors. Consistent problems of life may be getting from ancestors, that will be solved by taken holy bath in Agni Tirtha. 3. Pamban Bridge
Pamban bridge is also known as India's first sea bridge. There is no word described through words when crossing pamban bridge. When we travel by train to Rameswaram it takes more than five minutes to cross the pamban bridge which gives spectacular views and amazing surroundings. Though the bridge was open in 1914, still it has no major damage because It has been hitting by a lot of cyclones and rains. The Indira Gandhi Road bridge connects pamban island to Rameshwaram. 4. Dhanushkodi
Dhanush means bow and Kodi means tip. This is the southeastern tip of India. Lord Rama built the bridge from Dhanushkodi to Srilanka to rescue his wife from King Ravana. This bridge also called as Adams bridge which connects to Talaimannar west of Srilanka. The boat mail from Chennai to Rameswaram was connected to Dhanushkodi until 1964. In 1964, Dhanushkodi railway station was destroyed due to cyclone and passengers were killed in a cyclone and heavy rain, later the railway line was disconnected. After we reached to Dhanushkodi we received a cellphone message that welcomes Srilanka. We cannot see Rama Setu bridge from Dhanushkodi since it was sunk in the ocean. 5. Kothandaramaswamy Temple
Lord Rama has a bow with his hand which called kothandam so obviously, he called as Kothandaramaswamy. The temple current structure remains after 1964 cyclone. This is the place where Rama pattabhishekam to Vibhishana who brother of King Ravana. Here Lord Rama appeared with Sita, Hanuman, Lakshmana, and Vibhishana. The temple is situated 11km away from Rameshwaram. We can go by government buses, taxi and share auto from Rameswaram.
6.Gandamadana Parvatham
This place also called as Ramar patham since the place has Rama's footprints. Lord Rama found Sita from this place where Sita arrested by Ravana in Srilanka. 7. Ramar & Lakshmana Tirthas
