Traveling towards OMR from Chennai finding a way to Prathyangira Devi Temple at Sholinganallur. After we visited the temple that comes to know women can do anything in this world. The architecture of the Prathyangira Devi temple is different from other temples in Tamil Nadu. Prathyangira Devi's goddess embraces the devotees who believe her. I could not able to express the feeling of the love for Devi Prathyangira. The image of the temple is given above.
Story of the Temple
As per Hindu mythology, God was born in this world to destroy the arrogance of Asuras. Hiranyaksha an asura got boon from Brahma that he not get killed by neither animal nor human and not in the place of earth and space, as I said God Vishnu take an avatar of Narasimha and killed Hiranyaksha with his thighs in the form of partial animal(Lion) and human face. When humans get anger, it can be controlled in a day. Here the lord Narasimha cannot get normal from his fierce after killed Narasimha. Eventually, Devas were asked to Shiva to end for this. Lord Shiva was forming himself as part of animal and part of bird-beast is called as Sharabeshwara today that given in above image. The fierce form of Lord Narasimha and the serene form of Sarabeshwara gets closely while a Devi appeared from the wings of Sharabeshwara and makes pacific the lion-face Narasimha, The Devi who milded the fierce of Lord Narasimha is called today Prathyangira the deity in Sholinganallur town of Chennai district.

Analysis of the Temple
The temple has so many deities, apart from Prathyangira, Varahi is one of the main deity in this temple who blesses the devotees to be live with prestige life and others are Sharabeshwara, 108 Nagarajas, Neela Saraswati, Panchamuga Anjaneyar shown in above inage, Ayyapa, Kala Bhairavar, Lakshmi Narasimha, Vinayaka, Rahu, Ketu, Bhadrakli and Guruvayurappa. The sitting posture of Prathyangira Devi in this temple seems fierce which tells devotees that she destroying the arrogance of the people as well as stands with mortality. Thousands of devotees worship her on inauspicious and normal days. We need to believe here that God punishes the people who follow immortality and also embraces those who follow Dharma.
